Description
1. Mission
1. The NATO Studies Center is an independent research training and expertise center on NATO related issues, within the academic frame of the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration.
2. NATO Studies Center aims at contributing, by its specific means, to the establishment of a “security community” with in the NATO field, developing activities like:

Information = regarding NATO’s goals, organization, polices, offering the target public groups adequate informative materials: studies, articles, books, handbooks, CDs, video cassettes.

Education = educational and training programs on NATO issues.

Research = studies and analyses on foreign and security issues strategically important for Romania and NATO Black Sea, Moldavia, Ukraine, Caucasus and Caspic Sea Regions.

Consultancy and advocacy = the development of an independent analysis capacity whose results could be provided upon request to domestic and foreign partners.
3. The NATO Studies Center organizes national / regional / international conferences on NATO related topics and elaborates and manages national and international projects, may grant fellowships and research grants.
2. Team:
The activity of the NATO Studies Center is coordinated by an INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD which brings together personalities representing the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NATO Headquarters, Brussels, NATO defense College, Rome, “George C. Marshall” center, Garmish, other institutions, as well as the civil society.
The programs of the Center are organized and coordinated by an executive team of professors and experts of the NSPSPA, in collaboration with representatives from the partner institutions.

3. Facilities:
The NATO Studies Center is located in a new building, recently renovated, within the Conference Center of NSPSPA, meeting the high standards posed by a quality academic and professional activity.
